Hosted by the Diaspora Council of Tanzanians in America (DICOTA), the convention is the largest, long-standing, and highly reputable gathering for the Tanzanian diaspora, aiming to bring together 300 to 500 attendees, including the Tanzanian Diaspora in the Americas, Tanzania private sector and government officials from a range of sectors, including tourism, finance, health, education, all with a vested interest of seeing a better future for Tanzania’s mainland and Zanzibar.

For the first time ever, this 8th diaspora convention will feature a Tanzania Tourism Expo – a
4-day journey in discovering the wonders, beauty, and exquisite experiences of Tanzania.
Our theme “Championing New Frontiers in Tanzania’s Tourism and Beyond: Travel, Venture, and Invest” portrays a diaspora-led initiative to provide a platform to facilitate business-to-business networking and deal-making among U.S. and Tanzania tourism businesses to advance our nation’s tourism sector.
